I’m taking it back – geek is no longer ours

Published on May 26, 2013 by in TheBlog

As I’ve noted in the past, I wasn’t a popular/cool kid. At the time, and onto today, this has been my preference. Sure it impeded my liberation from chaste, but at least it provided me with the opportunity to find true friends and the avoidance of the superficial/pretentious. The irony is that in some respects,

EF You GoDaddy.. hello GreenGeeks!

Published on March 31, 2013 by in Uncategorized

So, you’re not going to notice a difference.. or maybe you will.  So far load times of this page seem to be faster than they were yesterday.  You see, up until a couple of a hours ago I was hosting with the evil GoDaddy.  Now, you’re seeing the power of GreenGeeks.. and while we barely

How Far Gone Was I?

Published on June 10, 2012 by in TheBlog

It’s become somewhat of a routine of mine. After dropping off TheWife™ at work, I’ll swing by Starbucks, grab some sort of venti drink, and circle around to Giant Tiger before going home. I was leafing through the DVD discount bin and I looked over and I saw myself, about twenty years younger. This tubby,

The Magic Freakout.

This kind of thing is what gives geeks a bad name and fulfills stereotypes. Morbidly obese lisp zero social skills takes a game WAY too seriously. Observe the stereotypical geek in his native habitat in a normal situation.  WARNING: This video contains scenes and language that may offend some viewers.  Discretion is advised. I wonder

This could happen to you. [IMAGE]

This seems to happen with so many people (myself included).  Sign of a weak mind or an intelligent one, I’m not not sure.

WHO would have thunk it.

Published on September 6, 2011 by in TheBlog

Let me take you away from watching a video of a guy touching 1000 sets of breasts for a moments.  You bunch of freaking pervs.  A guy posts what he think is an interesting documentary, and suddenly his site becomes sooooo popular. Men. I’m assuming. Then digress. Over the past year-and-a-half it hasn’t been a

Geek 4 life?

Published on August 7, 2011 by in TheBlog

I can’t help but ask myself if there is anything wrong with re-embracing something that almost seems like a completely ended chapter in my life.  There have been plenty of things that I have severely cut back on, if not let go of completely over the past decade, and most of them are geek related.

What day is Thanksgiving on?

Published on October 11, 2010 by in TheBlog

I know hating on something usually makes for good reading– I’m going to leave that part out for today.  It’s Thanksgiving.  Most days I don’t mind being a bit of a douche, but today I think I will refrain from such ways.  Instead, I’m going to kindly suggest you go visit the site of a

Shuddup already. We know!

Published on July 26, 2010 by in TheBlog

I’m fuming quietly right now. It’s getting to the point where I nearly feel shame for ever liking video games, or playing tabletop RPGs.  I almost want to hang my head for enjoying comic books or ever getting a little too excited for some animated and overly endowed girl.  Really, I should feel ashamed for
